Allen Everett

September 10, 1962 — January 10, 2012

ALLEN MARK EVERETT was born the oldest of five children on September 10, 1962 to Leslie and Ruth (Cunningham) Everett in Pipestone, Minnesota. He was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church in Jasper, Minnesota, and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Pipestone. He graduated from Pipestone High School in the class of 1981. He continued his education at Southwest State in Marshall, Minnesota and St. Cloud State in St. Cloud, Minnesota. He traveled various states working in construction. On August 20, 1994, Allen was united in marriage to Sheila Parsons in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. Following their marriage, the couple lived in Eden Prairie and St. Paul, Minnesota before later moving to Pipestone. While living in Pipestone, Allen worked in construction and later at Suzlon Wind Energy Company. He continued his education at Minnesota West in Pipestone and was most recently working with his father as an electrical subcontractor. Allen was very proud of attaining his pilot’s license after logging 200+ hours of flight time.

On Tuesday, January 10, 2012, Allen died at his home at the age of 49 years and four months.

Allen was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Pipestone. He enjoyed airplanes and flying, playing guitar, biking, walking, throwing darts, and shooting pool. Most important to Allen was his family and attending their activities. He was blessed to be able to reconnect with his daughter, Jen, through church and music.

He is survived by his four children, Jen (and Josh) Sheldon, Ciara, Brittany and Mason, all of Pipestone; grandchildren, Elise, Phoebe, and Joshua Sheldon; parents, Leslie and Ruth Everett; great grandfather, Robert Worden of Bloomville, New York; four siblings, Beth Belew of Pipestone, Deb (John) Schroeder of Prior Lake, Minnesota, Amy (Mark) Mernik of Minnetrista, Minnesota, and Chris (Maurine) Everett of Farmington, Minnesota; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
