Bruce Hartz

BRUCE ALLEN HARTZ was born to Dennis and Jean (Licht) Hartz on October 29, 1955 in Luverne, Minnesota. He was baptized on November 27, 1955 and confirmed on April 26, 1970 all at St. John Lutheran Church. Following his education at Luverne High School, Bruce continued farming until 1986. He then moved to Baltimore, Maryland and began work as a heavy construction operator until 2010. Due to his joint disabilities, Bruce was forced to retire and returned to Luverne in 2010.

Bruce went to be with his Lord on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at the age of 58 years, one month and 22 days.

Bruce was a simple man who enjoyed his life. He loved operating farm tractors and a bulldozer. Most of all, he enjoyed spoiling his six little nephews.

He is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Nichole (Kevin) Hartz of Luverne; three grandchildren, Trevor Hartz, Summer Barger and Autumn Barger; one great-granddaughter, Kaylin Hartz; mother, Jean Hartz of Luverne; four brothers, Wayne Hartz of Catonsville, Maryland, David (Kimberlee) Hartz of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Paul (Debbie) Hartz of Luverne, Joel (Jamie) Hartz of Luverne; and other family. He was preceded in death by his father, Dennis.
