Danny Tyson

June 1, 1946 — September 13, 2013

Danny Tyson was born June 1, 1946 to Joe and Rosie Tyson in England. When he was a young boy, his family moved to the United States, to Brooklyn, New York. Following his education he enlisted in the United States Navy and served during the Vietnam period from 1963 – 1965 on the USS Forrestal. He was honorably discharged and returned to New York. He worked various jobs in construction as a pipe fitter and iron worker, and worked on the first World Trade Center. In 1998 he moved to Minnesota and lived near Redwood Falls. In 2002 he moved to Milbank, South Dakota. Danny was currently working on a job in Indiana where on September 13, 2013 he passed away unexpectedly at the age of 67 years.

Danny enjoyed gun and coin collecting. He liked to have a good time and enjoyed his time spent with his family and friends.

He is lovingly remembered by his children, Ashley (and Darrin) Haroldson of Ruthton, Minnesota, Joe (and Ginger) Hanenkratt of Hobart, Indiana, Dawn (and Richard) Johanns of Paulding, Ohio, Brandi (and Tom) Johnson of Fargo, North Dakota, and Sean (and Lisa) Hanenkratt of Hobart, Indiana; 13 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; friend Elaine Anderson of South Dakota; and many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by a son, Neil Tyson; a grandson, Cody Haroldson; his parents, Joe and Rosie; and a twin sister, Jackie Costello. Blessed be his memory.
