Eileen Biever

EILEEN MARIE (DEMUTH) BIEVER was born on January 2, 1921, to Edward and Cecelia (Giever) Demuth in Le Mars, Iowa. As a child she moved to Tucson, Arizona due to her father's health issues. The family later moved back to Le Mars and in 1932 the family moved to the farm near Woodstock, Minnesota. She attended Pipestone High School, graduating in 1940. On October 29, 1941, she was united in marriage to Earl Biever at St. Martin Catholic Church in Woodstock. Throughout her life they resided on that farm. In 1995, they moved to Pipestone and a month later, on May 21, 1995, Earl preceded her in death. She moved into the Good Samaritan Communities of Pipestone in August of 2010, and resided there the rest of her life. On Saturday, April 29, 2017, Eileen passed away at the Pipestone County Medical Center at the age of 96 years, three months, and 27 days.

Eileen was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church in Woodstock. She had a strong Catholic faith and loved her Lord. She loved to garden, both vegetables and flowers. Her family will remember her as an amazing cook. She enjoyed music, dancing, fishing, playing cards (poker and pinochle especially), and watching the Minnesota Twins.

Eileen is lovingly remembered by her family, Gary (Gwen) of Pipestone, Sheri Biever (wife of the late, Rich Biever) of Windom, Minnesota, Jan Karpen of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Kathy (Jerry) Anderson of Vermillion, South Dakota, and Jim (Jan) of Pipestone; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert Demuth, Sr. of Worthington, Minnesota; and one sister-in-law, Pat Demuth of Luverne, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl; one son, Rich in 2011; three infant daughters; one brother, Edward; and one sister, Mildred.
