Ray Trigg

August 26, 1933 — July 1, 2014

Ray Arnold Trigg was born August 26, 1933 to Lindsy and Anna (Bruns) Trigg on the farm in Lake Benton Township, Lincoln County, Minnesota. He attended country school through the eighth grade and then helped on the family farm and worked for various farmers. On May 29, 1964 Ray married Jean Sandberg in Luverne, Minnesota. Their union was blessed with five children. Ray had a crop and dairy farm in Verdi Township. When he retired in 1994 he continued to live on his farm, and later moved into Lake Benton. On Tuesday, July 1, 2014 Ray passed away unexpectedly at the age of 80 years, 10 months, and 5 days.

Ray enjoyed farming, fishing, gardening, playing cards, watching the Minnesota Twins, and working puzzles. He especially enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren.

Ray is lovingly remembered by his children, Annette Frappier (friend David Johnson) of Ward, SD, Allen (Tami) Trigg of Lake Benton, MN, Sharlyn (Mike) Tiedeman of Lake Benton, MN, Daryl (Tracy) Trigg of Lake Benton, MN, and David Trigg of Lake Benton, MN; nine grandchildren, Amy, LeAnn, Kayleen, Alyna, Christiana, Brett, Andrew, Brooklyn, and James; two great-grandchildren; a brother Robert (Lorraine) Trigg of Verdi, MN; three sisters, Marian Trigg of Pipestone, MN, Bernice (Larry) Whitaker of Norwood, MN, and Darlene Meyer of Pipestone, MN; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Earl and Leonard Trigg.
