Obituary for Andrew Bosch

ANDREW JOHN BOSCH was born on June 24, 1932 to Edward and Jennie (Boer) Bosch in Inwood, Iowa. Andy attended school in Inwood and Rock Rapids, Iowa. He honorably served in the United States Army during the Korean War. On November 10, 1952 Andy was united in marriage to Clara Wagenaar in George, Iowa. Andy farmed various areas near Rock Rapids, Magnolia, Minnesota and Steen, Minnesota. Along with farming, Andy kept busy with other jobs, including a meat processing plant in Worthington, Minnesota. Clara preceded Andy in death on February 27, 1991. Andy moved to Hills and remained busy helping his son, Tony, however he could in the farming operation. On Wednesday, February 1, 2017 while at his home, Andy went to be with the Lord at the age of 84 years, 7 months and 7 days.

Andy attended the First Baptist Church in Luverne, Minnesota. He was a member of the American Legion in Hills. He enjoyed playing bingo on Saturday nights, having coffee with the guys at Orv’s in Hills, driving around the countryside to look at how the crops were doing and washing tractors. He especially enjoyed spending time with his great-grandchildren.

Andy will be lovingly remembered by his children, Anthony (Tony) and Pam Bosch of Brandon, South Dakota and Starleen and Jeff DeWanz of Alexandria, Minnesota; 7 grandchildren, Charlene (Glen) Alderson, Deanne (McTier) Millington, Brent (Priscilla) Bosch, Paula (Brad) Bergman, Craig (Amanda) Bosch, Austin DeWanz, and Kaila DeWanz; 12 great-grandchildren, Dylan Bosch, Jordan Millington, Szilvi Nador, Breyona, Brooklyn, Briggs, Briley, Brielle, Bo and Bryson Bosch, Stella Bosch, and Miles Bergman; siblings, Art (Lucille) Bosch of Rock Rapids, Alice (Walt) Kellen of Adrian, Minnesota, and Henry (Dorothy) Bosch of Rock Rapids; and special friends Joanne Flier and the Doug and Pam Hoogeveen family.
