was born on May 26, 1920 to John and Marie (Bahlke) Fick on the farm near Boyden, IA. She was raised on the farm and attended the St. John’s Parochial School through the eighth grade. She then helped other families with housework in the area. During this time she helped twelve different families. In April of 2006 Anna became a resident of the Good Samaritan Society - Mary Jane Brown Home where on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 she passed away peacefully at the age of 90 years, seven months, and 29 days with her husband Jurgen near her side.
