Anna Wipf

December 21, 1936 — October 31, 2014

ANNA Z WIPF was born on December 21, 1936 to Zack and Kathrina Waldner at the Bon Homme Colony in Manitoba, Canada. They moved to Glendale Colony, South Dakota in 1949. On July 5, 1959 she married Dave Wipf at the Plainview Colony in Ipswich, South Dakota. They were married 49 years and 11 months until death took her husband on June 1, 2009. They were blessed with three sons and eight daughters whom they loved. Anna was an Essen school teacher for 22 years. Her family moved to Heartland Colony, Minnesota on June 19, 1996.

Mother, Grandma passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on October 31, 2014 at her home in Heartland. Mom was an active walker; she loved to go for walks. She loved to visit and help others. Grandma was always eager for any job you wanted her to do. Mom was very patient during her time of sickness.

Grandma's favorite songs were 'Gute Nacht' and 'Jesu du Alain.' She sang her favorite morning and evening songs until the day she passed away.

Grateful for having shared Anna’s life are her children, Simon Wipf of Aberdeen, South Dakota, Elmer (Leah) Wipf of Heartland Colony in Lake Benton, Minnesota, Lydia (Herman) Kleinssaser of Evergreen Colony in Faulkton, South Dakota, Anna (Elmer) Wollman of Old Elm Spring Colony in Parkston, South Dakota, Kate Wipf of Heartland Colony in Lake Benton, Minnesota, Liz (Conrad) Wipf of La Crosse, Wisconsin, Bertha (Leonard) Wollman of Old Elm Spring Colony in Parkston, South Dakota, Becky (Darrell) Wipf of Rolland Colony in White, South Dakota, Alma (Lawrence) Wipf of Rolland Colony in White, South Dakota, and Rose (Joey) Waldner of Huron Colony in Huron, South Dakota; six sisters, Elizabeth, Suzie, Sara, Mary, Becky, and Dorothy; two brothers, John and Mike; 44 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and lots of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Dave; one son, David; three brothers, Dave, Joe, and Zack; two sisters, Katie and Margret; and one grandchild, Naomi.
