Obituary for Arnold G. Morrow
was born April 5, 1919 to Maurice and Junetta (Hanover) Morrow in Oriskany Falls, New York. He attended Radner High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In 1942, Arnold entered the United States Army. He served during World War II and was honorably discharged in 1945. While stationed in Southern England Arnold met the love of his life, Vera Crook. He married his English Girl in Bridport, England at St. Mary’s Church on April 8, 1944. The following year the couple was reunited in New York City, New York. They resided in several towns throughout Pennsylvania including a long stay in Allentown, Pennsylvania and later Charlottesville, Virginia. The couple raised three children. Arnold was self-employed selling industrial machinery to manufacturing companies until his retirement in 1979. After Vera had a stroke they moved to Rock Rapids, Iowa in 1991, so his daughter Velma could help them out. Vera became a resident in the Rock Rapids Health Center and then in 1996, she moved into the Minnesota Veterans Home in Luverne, Minnesota. Arnold entered the Veterans home in October 2010 and remained there until he passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at the age of 94 years.

Arnold became one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in January of 1960 in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He was a member of the congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Luverne, Minnesota. He enjoyed watercolor painting, horseback riding, woodworking and his many animals and birds that he raised over the years.

He will be lovingly remembered by his two daughters Verna Krammes and her husband Cliff of Charlottesville, Virginia and Velma Sassaman and her husband Gerald, of Magnolia, Minnesota; one son, Thomas Morrow and his wife Lynn of Paupack, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren, Matthew (Amy) Jung, Jenilyn (Bartholomew) Mahon, Christopher (Christy) Krammes, Brandton Woodward; nine great-grandchildren, Zoe, Brynn, Conner, Morgan, Ethan, Mason, Nathan, Rhiannon, and Ciaran; and two nieces and seven nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vera; his parents, Maurice and Junetta Morrow; two sisters, Genevieve Munson and Marguerite Kring; and one brother, Robert Morrow.
