Hunting was a favorite pastime, whether pheasants or deer he enjoyed being out with family and friends, especially his sons, Brad and Jason. Carl was a person that gave many loved ones advice to help overcome life's obstacles. In 2012 he was nominated and was one of four finalists for AGCO Application Equipment's Operator of the Year.
