Christopher "Chris" Wussow

Christopher Charles Wussow was born to Dale and Janice (Schroeder) Wussow on February 11, 1977 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He joined his brother, Dean who was born 11 years earlier on the same day, and his sister, Julie. Chris was baptized on June 17, 1977 in Sioux Falls and was confirmed on April 4, 1993 at Zion United Methodist Church in Pipestone, Minnesota. He attended school in Pipestone and graduated from Pipestone High School in 1996. While he was in school, he was active in FFA and the ag mechanics judging teams. After his graduation from high school, he worked for Bayliner until it closed in 2008. He then became employed at C & B Operations in Edgerton, Minnesota and in 2015 began working for Kibble Equipment in Tyler, Minnesota. In July 2015, Chris married Jessica Roberts. The couple was blessed with a son, James, and later divorced.

Chris was a people person. He loved to talk to people whether it was selling something, talking to customers or just anyone he met. He was an excellent mechanic and salesman. Chris and James spent a lot of time together, whether it was working on the go-cart, three wheeler, or motorcycle; they had fun together. Chris loved having James in his shop, he even had a tool box just for James. He would do anything for anybody. He loved to buy and sell stuff online and had an extensive John Deere toy collection.

He lived on an acreage south of Lake Benton and always had multiple projects going. He recently finished picking his few acres of corn and had put up many round bales of grass hay for his two heifers that were to calve in the spring. He also had a few chickens, cats, and a dog named "Lily." He was a farmer at heart!

In July, 2022, he started a business called Pipestone Outdoor Power (a subsidiary of Wayne's Tractor Repair in Marshall, Minnesota). He sold lawn mowers, snowblowers and attachments, along with fixing small engine equipment of all types, and always stayed very busy.

On Saturday, October 22, 2022, Chris passed away as the result of injuries sustained in a car accident near Elkton, South Dakota at the age of 45 years, 8 months and 11 days.

Chris is lovingly remembered by his son, James Christopher Wussow of Jasper, Minnesota; parents, Dale and Janice Wussow of Pipestone; siblings, Dean Wussow of Katy, Texas, and Julie Dallmann of Pipestone; aunt, Evie (Bernie) Schreiner; uncles, Kevin (Ellen) Schroeder and Michael (Dianne) Wussow; nieces and nephews, Cameron Wussow, Shane Wussow, Laney Todd, Gage Wussow, Connor Dallmann, Caitlyn Dethlefs, Mike Loll, Matt Loll, Mindy Loll, Heather Bortnem, Ben Wussow, and Emily Telkamp; cousins, Casey and Neil Schroeder; former wife, Jess (Bryce) Petersen of Jasper; other relatives; and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter and Phyllis Wussow and Arlo and Marjorie Schroeder; and uncle, Craig Schroeder.
