DAVID “SQUEAKS” JON FARRAR was born on May 3, 1944 in Pipestone, Minnesota to Luther William and Anna Johanna (Dolge) Farrar. He lived primarily his entire life in Jasper, Minnesota. He was baptized at First Lutheran Church in Sherman, South Dakota and confirmed at Jasper Evangelical Lutheran Church where he was currently a member and served as an usher. Squeaks enlisted in the United States Army and received a medical discharge. Squeaks worked as a stonecutter for Jasper Stone Company and L.G. Everist for 46 years. He was united in marriage to Joyce Roemeling in 1972 and to this union 2 daughters were born. Later, in 1984, he married Carol Johnson and gained three step-children. David entered the care of the Pipestone County Hospice House in Pipestone on Monday, March 22, 2021. Squeaks died peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, March 29, 2021 at the age of 76 years, 10 months, and 26 days.

Squeaks was an avid trapper, hunter, and fisherman and liked golfing, playing cards, and shooting pool. He has also previously been a member of the Jasper Volunteer Fire Department for 19 years and was also a member of the Jasper Lions Club.

David is lovingly remembered by his wife, Carol Farrar of Jasper; daughters, Leslie (Brian) Graham of Dell Rapids, South Dakota, and Betsy (Howard) Dion of Trent, South Dakota; step-children, David (Victoria) Mize-Johnson of Prineville, Oregon, Catherine (Dan) Bryan of Jasper, Minnesota, and Peter (Julie) Johnson of Jasper, Minnesota; one brother, Loren (Lillian) Farrar of Aitkin, Minnesota; grandchildren, Kalista, Kyra, and Kole Graham; step-grandchildren, Baylee Johnson, Matthew Johnson, Megan (Jesse) Slater, Cory Bryan, Billy (Jillian) Mize, Mike Mize, and Emily Mize, Kyle Dion, Dustin Johnson, and Breanna Johnson; and three great-grandchildren, Ryder and Marley Johnson, and Everli Dion. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one granddaughter, Jaiden Marie Graham.

Memorials will be directed to the Jasper Evangelical Lutheran Church or the Jasper Fire Department.
