Dianne Christine Schulze

March 10, 1946 — April 3, 2018

DIANNE CHRISTINE SCHULZE was born to Henry Phillip and Olga Evelyn (Bowman) Quick on March 10, 1946 in St. Paul, Minnesota. She was raised in Shoreview, Minnesota where she attended elementary school. She then attended junior high and high school in Mounds View, Minnesota. After she graduated in 1964, she attended Bethel College in St. Paul for one year before continuing her education at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. Shortly after her graduation, she became employed at Sperry Univac. On November 14, 1970, she was united in marriage to Richard Schulze at Incarnation Lutheran Church in Shoreview, Minnesota. Following their marriage, the couple lived in Shoreview while Dianne continued to work at Univac. A short time later, they moved to a home by Como Park in St. Paul. The couple welcomed two beautiful children, Diana and Daniel. After their birth, Dianne decided to quit Sperry Univac in order to stay home and raise their children. During this time, the family moved back to Shoreview. While the children were in school, Dianne helped Dick in the convenience store that Dick managed. She also worked at Intercity Paper Company, doing all of the billing and became a part time office manager for a small company selling business promotional products. Dianne and Dick later moved to Pipestone, Minnesota. At that time, Dianne was disabled and retired from the workforce. In 2007, Dianne became a resident of the Good Samaritan Communities of Pipestone. Dianne died at the Good Samaritan Communities with Dick by her side on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at the age of 72 years and 24 days.

During the time she lived in the Twin Cities, Dianne was a very active member of Incarnation Lutheran Church in Shoreview. At the church, she taught Sunday School, served as the superintendent of the Sunday School, taught confirmation classes, sang in the church choir, and attended many Bible studies there. Dianne was also active in the Incarnation Lutheran’s women’s group and organized many activities for them. While living in Pipestone, she was a member of First Lutheran Church. Her deep faith in Jesus as her Savior helped her persevere through any and all adversities in her life. Dianne especially loved her children and her grandchildren, reveling in the time that she was able to spend with them.

Dianne is lovingly remembered by her husband, Dick Schulze of Pipestone, Minnesota; two children, Diana (Alan) Frederick of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Daniel (Becky) Schulze of Arden Hills, Minnesota; four grandchildren, Isaac, Ethan, Evan, and Ella; three sisters, Janice (Carl “Boots”) Johnson of Vadnais Heights, Minnesota, Betty Wiggens of Oakdale, Minnesota, and Marilyn Miller of Wilmar, Minnesota; and two brothers, Charles Quick of Peachtree City, Georgia, and Robert (Donna) Quick of Shoreview, Minnesota. She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Alice.
