DOLORIS LAVON PEDERSEN was born on December 26, 1929 to Fred and Hilma (Brandland) Stueven in Troy Township of Pipestone County, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Following her graduation from Pipestone High School in 1947, she worked at the REA in Pipestone, the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and North Western Bell Telephone Company in Pipestone. On May 13, 1949 she was united in marriage to Kenneth Pedersen on her family’s farm. After their marriage, they farmed in Troy Township while Doloris continued to work at NW Bell until 1953. In 1980, she resumed employment and began working at Pipestone County Family Service Agency until her retirement in 1995. Ken and Doloris then enjoyed the winter months in Texas and Arizona for several years. Kenneth preceded her in death in April of 2001. Doloris moved to the Ridgeview Estates in Pipestone in 2012. Doloris died peacefully on Friday, March 20, 2020 at the Pipestone County Hospice House at the age of 90 years, two months, and 25 days.

Doloris was a life-long member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Pipestone, where she was active in women’s organizations. In the past, she was involved with her children in 4-H Club activities, was a member of an extension club, and was a member of the U.C.T organization. Doloris enjoyed being with her family and friends, travelling, fishing, and gardening.

She is lovingly remembered by her three children, Suzanne (Kim) Erickson of Estero, Florida, Michael (Kathleen) of Storm Lake, Iowa, and Gerald (Geralda) of Worthington, Minnesota; eight grandchildren, Nathan and Neil Erickson, David, Daniel, and Emily Pedersen, and Travis, Shane, and Dillon Pedersen; four great-granddaughters, Maya, Emma, Isla, and Lily; her sister, Donna Lou Mickelson of Pipestone, Minnesota; her brothers, Duane (Carol) Stueven of Kingsland, Texas and David (Joanne) Stueven of Aitken, Minnesota; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ken; her sister, Dorothy Tepley; and her parents.

Blessed be her memory.
