Obituary for Douglas Nieuwboer
DOUGLAS CHAD NIEUWBOER was born on August 11, 1965 to John and Grace (Hibma) Nieuwboer in Luverne, Minnesota. He lived in Kenneth, Minnesota with his family and then moved to Mankato, Minnesota where he received his education. He then lived several places including Luverne, Woodbury, Blaine, and Sherburne, Minnesota. In November of 2005 he moved to Chippewa Acres near Raymond, Minnesota (west of Willmar). He received amazing care there and it really became his home. While living there he worked for Sparks Recycling in Clara City. He loved his job and the people he worked with. He retired in 2018. Doug died peacefully at his home on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at the age of 55 years, 10 months, and 23 days.
Doug liked going for motorcycle rides, watch action movies, going out for pizza, and drawing. He was an animal lover, especially enjoying cats and dogs. He loved being with his family members and they brought him so much joy.
Doug is lovingly remembered by three brothers, David of Oakdale, Minnesota, Duane (Carla) of Kenneth, Minnesota, and Darwin of Kenneth. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Diane; and one brother, Denis.
Blessed be his memory!
