GLENN DALE BADEN was born on February 8th, 1941, in Pipestone, MN to Alfred & Areline (Dreessen) Baden. He was baptized on March 9th, 1941, and confirmed on May 20th, 1956, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Jasper, MN by Pastor W.F. Preuss. His confirmation verse was Philippians 1:2, “Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.” Glenn grew up in Jasper, MN and helped at his father’s station, Baden’s Service, and drove school bus. He attended Jasper Elementary and High School, receiving his diploma in 1960. Glenn served a year in the South Dakota Army National Guard from 1962 to 1963. He then served seven years in the South Dakota Air National Guard and attained the rank of Staff Sergeant in Security Police work. Glenn was honorably discharged in 1970. Glenn was united in marriage to Verla Mae Hubner at St. Paul Lutheran Church on October 30th, 1965. Together they were blessed with one daughter, Kara Lee. They made their home at 917 6th Ave. S.W. in Pipestone, MN until they moved to Brandon, SD in 2003.
