July 14, 1995 — November 12, 2022

JOSHUA STANGELAND was born on July 14, 1995 in Luverne, Minnesota to Ted and Roberta (Cadotte) Stangeland. Josh was baptized at Christ the King and later confirmed there as well. He attended school in Pipestone, Minnesota and graduated from Pipestone High School in 2014. While he was in school he was active in 4-H, cattle-showing, wrestling, track, cross country and football. After his graduation from high school, he then furthered his education at South Dakota State University in Brookings, South Dakota, and completed his degree in animal science and ag business. He traveled the Midwest working at several different ranches including Talsma Cattle, Harker Simmentals and Steck Cattle. He later returned to Pipestone and worked for Cargill, along with running Josh Stangeland Cattle Company. On December 9th 2021, Josh married Kasey Vander Plaats.

Josh was a member of Christ the King Free Lutheran Church in Pipestone and was involved in the youth group as well. He was a hard worker. Josh had a sarcastic sense of humor and quick wit. He loved working with cattle, fishing, shooting and hunting sports. He also was a movie enthusiast who enjoyed the "classics". Josh enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was a favorite of his nieces and younger siblings.
