Justin John George was born January 10, 1984 to Cynthia Hendley and John George, Jr. in Mankato, Minnesota. Justin grew up in Tyler and Ruthton, Minnesota. He was baptized at First English Lutheran Church in Tyler. After graduating from Russell-Tyler-Ruthton High School in 2003, he attended Minnesota West in Canby for auto mechanics. He worked construction with his uncle, Jerry Stoltenburg, and also worked at Schwan's Call Center in Marshall and did roofing with Bruce Meyer. Most recently he was a caregiver for his mother following her knee surgery.
Justin will be dearly missed and remembered as a son with a good heart and for his service to others. He loved his family and friends, and his beloved dog, Dudley. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing games, watching funny movies, the Minnesota Vikings, and hanging out with friends.
Justin had some medical issues in December and became seriously ill on Friday, December 27. He was transferred to Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota where he died on Sunday, December 29, 2013, two weeks before his 30th birthday. At the end of his life, Justin was an organ donor to help provide life for others.
Justin is lovingly remembered by his mother, Cynthia Hendley of Ruthton, Minnesota; his father, John George, Jr. of North Mankato, Minnesota; his sister, Amanda (Gary) Pipes of North Mankato, and their children, Christopher, Matthew, Blake, and Bailey; aunts and uncles: Marsha Grimmius of Slayton, Minnesota, Fred (Mary) Stoltenburg of Glencoe, Minnesota, Carol (Larry) Christensen of Ruthton, Minnesota, Jerry (Lori) Stoltenburg of Canton, South Dakota, and Deanne Foster of Maple Grove, Minnesota; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Fred Stoltenburg and Marlys Leversedge,and his uncle, Marvin Grimmius.
