Lillian Mary Deuschle

October 2, 1921 — July 30, 2013

LILLIAN MARY DEUSCHLE was born on October 2, 1921 to August and Mary (Jurczewsky) Schumacher in Tripp, South Dakota. She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith. She grew up on the farm in the Parkston area of South Dakota. She graduated from Parkston High School in 1939. Lillian was united in marriage to Harold Deuschle on July 5, 1945 in Parkston, South Dakota. Their union was blessed with two children, Jerome and Susan, and 50 years of marriage together. The couple lived in Rapid City, South Dakota and in 1947, they moved to Luverne, Minnesota. Lillian cared for the home and family, and was the office manager for their family business, Harold's Electric. Harold died in 1995 and Lillian continued to reside at her home in Luverne. On July 30, 2013 she died at her home at the age of 91 years.

Lillian was a member of St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Luverne where she was active in the LCCW. She was a former Boy Scout and Girl Scout Leader, and member of the Fireman's and VFW auxiliaries. She enjoyed Minnesota Twins baseball, sewing, crocheting, quilting, dancing, reading, traveling, gardening, and especially time spent with her family.

Lillian is lovingly remembered by her children, Jerome (and Kathleen) of Luverne, Minnesota, Susan (and Wayne) Vedder of Owatonna, Minnesota; five grandchildren, Deric Deuschle, Daniel Deuschle, Lindsay Thomas, Timothy Vedder, Kaylan Williams; seven great-grandchildren, Morgan Deuschle, Jacob Deuschle, Elizabeth Deuschle, Mara Thomas, Mason Thomas, Miles Vedder, and Evie Vedder; siblings, Millie Gagne of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Vivian Buckles of Eden Prairie, Minnesota, Ronald Schumacher of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold; parents; sisters, Elsie Parsons, Edna Neumayr; brothers, Lawrence, Louis, and Elvin Schumacher. Blessed be her memory.
