Margaret "Peggy" Louise Klinsing

July 29, 1949 — July 30, 2018

Margaret “Peggy” Louise (Reisch) Klinsing was born on July 29, 1949 to Marcel and Eileen (Magnuson) Reisch in Howard, SD. She was raised in Howard and attended St. Agatha Catholic School through her junior year when the school closed. She then attended Howard Public School, graduating in 1967. After graduation, she worked as a telephone operator in Luverne until she moved to Pipestone in the mid-70s. At that time, she worked at Pipestone Federal Savings and Loan. While working there she was introduced to Robert Klinsing through his mother, Robbie. She attended college at Southwest State in Marshall and graduated with high honors and double degree in business administration and accounting. She and Bob were married September 4, 1981 at Zion Methodist Church in Pipestone. After their marriage, she was employed as a CPA for David Meulebroeck until 1987 when she began teaching accounting at Pipestone Vo-Tech. She worked there until 2002 when she decided to pursue her master’s degree from SDSU in Brookings. In 2004, she began working for Gorter’s Clay and Dairy as a business manager and continued to work there until this time. In March of 2018, she began having health problems including cancer. She passed away on Monday, July 30, 2018 at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 69 years and one day.

Peggy was an active member of Salem United Methodist Church in rural Pipestone where she held the position of treasurer. In years past she and Bob were members and board members of Zion Methodist in Pipestone. She was also a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, and served for many years on Habitat for Humanity board. She loved being a part of her community and participating in the Pipestone Chamber of Commerce annual chili feeds. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school, leading music for Bible school, creating crafts, and aquanastics. She lived for her family and was always doing some craft or project with her grandkids. Peggy always put others first and lent a hand wherever needed. Peggy and Bob really enjoyed vacationing at Glacier National Park and had hoped to go back.

Peggy is lovingly remembered by her husband, Bob of Ihlen, MN; four children, Chad (Jenn) Klinsing of Sioux Falls, SD and their daughter Kiah, Melissa (Lee) Engler of Eden Prairie, MN and their children Henry and Eleanor, Grant (Kala) Klinsing of Eden Prairie, MN and their children Kyan and Gwendalynn, and Blake (Teri) Klinsing of Pipestone, MN and their children Colter and Emberly; siblings, Barb (Gary) Mensen of Lubbock, TX, Pat (Cliff) Roush of Liberty, MO, Kelly Richmond of Raymore, MO, Mike (Kathy) Reisch of Sioux Falls, SD, Mary Jo (Gale) Benson of Sioux Falls, SD, Terry (Lou) Reisch of Luverne, MN, Michelle Rozeboom of Garretson, SD, Jerry (Christy) Reisch of Luverne, MN and Paula (Kevin) Spykerboer of Rock Rapids, IA; one sister-in-law, Sandy Reisch of Luverne, MN; and many other loving family and friends.
