MARJORIE MARIE (KORTUEM) LESLIE was born on September 8, 1925 to John and Delores (Detterman) Kortuem in Long Prairie, Minnesota. She grew up and attended school through the 8th grade in the Long Prairie area. While there, Marjorie met James Skyberg and on October 18, 1942 the two were united in marriage in Rock Rapids, Iowa and the marriage was blessed with seven children. The family lived in Jasper, Minnesota until 1951 when they moved to Columbia Falls, Montana.
