Milton Earl Seeman

June 29, 1930 — March 5, 2015

MILTON EARL SEEMAN was born on June 29, 1930 to Earl and Odeanna (Benson) Seeman in Jasper, Minnesota. He was baptized, confirmed, and a member of the Jasper Evangelical Lutheran Church. He graduated from Jasper High School with the class of 1948. He served in the United States Army as a Sergeant during the Korean War with and honorable discharge in March of 1954. Milt began his 44 year career in the telephone industry working for the family telephone company, Jasper Telephone Co which served Jasper, Hardwick, Ihlen, Trosky, and surrounding rural areas. In June of 1988, Milt moved to Mound, Minnesota. On June 8, 1990 Milt was united in marriage to Marjorie Sahlin at Richfield Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In 1993 the couple moved to Westbrook Village in Peoria, Arizona and continued living there until 2001 when they moved to Sun City West, Arizona. On March 5, 2015, Milton died at the Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center in Sun City West at the age of 84 years, eight months, and four days.

Milton was a past member of Jasper Evangelical Lutheran Church and St. John’s Lutheran Church in Mound, Minnesota where he was the Council President. He was also a member of American Lutheran Church in Sun City, Arizona. Milt enjoyed skiing, fishing, pheasant hunting, traveling and spending time with family, friends, and his beloved dogs, Maddy and Molly. He was a past member of the Civic Club and the Oscar Iverson American Legion Post #133 in Jasper, Minnesota and the Mary Ellen Piotrowski American Legion Post #94 in Sun City West. He was also a proud member of the National Rifle Association.

Milt is lovingly remembered by his wife, Marjorie, of Sun City West; daughter, Holy Bostrom of Mound, Minnesota; sons, Dr. Terry Seeman of Guam, Scott (Michelle) Seeman of Mound; stepdaughter, Deena Sahlin of Sun City West; stepson, Darin (Tracy) Sahlin of Peoria, Arizona; brother, Stanford Seeman of Mesa, Arizona; sister Margery Gmitter of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Odeanna.
