NAOMI JEAN JORGENSEN was born on May 19, 1933, to Clarence and Gladys (Raph) Frederickson at the home of Bert Raph in Holland, Minnesota. She was baptized on December 17, 1933, at the First Presbyterian Church in Holland. After the death of her father on October 8, 1933, Naomi lived with her grandmother, Cora Raph in Holland until 1941. At this time, she relocated to Pipestone, Minnesota where she resided with her mother and step-father, Frank Griebel. She was confirmed at the United Methodist Church in Pipestone in 1946, and graduated from Pipestone High School in 1951. After graduation, she began working at Northwest Bell Telephone Company until June of 1952. On June 27, 1952, she was united in marriage to Albert G. Jorgensen. Following Albert's enlistment into the U.S. Army in May of 1953, the couple spent one year in Franklin, Indiana and another year in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Upon his discharge, Naomi and Albert returned to the family farm southwest of Tyler, Minnesota and continued to live there for 51 years. After Al's passing in 2003, Naomi resided year-round in Brownsville, Texas. She so enjoyed the weather and friends. Following the passing of her great friend, Joe Williams, in 2019, she relocated to Tyler, Minnesota. Naomi died at the Avera Tyler Hospital on Monday, August 16, 2021, at the age of 88 years, two months, and 28 days.
