Norma Eileen Hein

NORMA EILEEN HEIN...

was born on February 18, 1945 in Tyler, Minnesota to John and Irene (Post) Vander Wilt. She was baptized at the Christian Reformed Church in Holland, Minnesota. She received her education in Ruthton, Minnesota. On August 23, 1962, she was united in marriage to Darrell Hein. Following their marriage, they made their home in Pipestone. Norma held several jobs in her lifetime, including, contract mail carrier, distributor for the Argus Leader, scale operator for the State of Minnesota, Pipestone livestock and bartending at Gannon’s and the American Legion. Most recently, Norma was employed at the Sale Barn working in the Caf. On Thursday, October 1, 2015, Norma died at her home at the age of 70 years, seven months and 13 days.

Norma was a member of First Lutheran Church in Pipestone. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Pipestone. Norma loved animals, especially dogs and taking them for walks. She enjoyed league bowling at Bole-Mor Lanes. Her Harley Davidson truck meant a lot to her and she enjoyed riding around in it at sunset looking for wildlife around Pipestone. She liked preparing for and celebrating holidays. Most importantly, Norma loved spending time with her family.

She is lovingly remembered by her children, Sheila (Allan) Johnson of Pipestone, Minnesota, Christy Hein of Holland, Minnesota, Darrin (Tamara) Hein of Pipestone and Aaron Hein of Pipestone; grandchildren, Keegan (Molly) Burmeister of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Pat McGunegill of Jasper, Minnesota; Brittany (Cody) Heidebrink of Pipestone, Lance Hein and Seth Boocock, both of Sioux Falls, Megan Hein of Mankato, Minnesota, Tesza Hein and Allison Hein, both of Pipestone; one step-grandson, Richard Cunningham of Pipestone; great-grandchildren, Logan, Mabry and Max McGunegill, Rowan and Boyer Heidebrink, Taryn Peters, Nevaeh Hein and Logan Minkel; and special friends, Judy Schroeder of Pipestone and Julie and Samantha Hein of Morton, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her husband; granddaughter, Tiffany McGunegill; her parents; and brother, Bill Vander Wilt.
