Peggy Mundahl

November 8, 1931 — February 18, 2017

PEGGY MARIE MUNDAHL was born on November 8, 1931 to Joseph and Beatrice (Friloux) Frosch in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was raised in Mandeville, Louisiana by her parents surrounded by many aunts, uncles and cousins. She graduated high school in 1948 and then went on to attend nursing school in New Orleans. On July 1, 1952 Peggy was married to Elroy Mundahl. As Roy served in the United States Air Force, Peggy traveled the world with her husband and raised their five children, living in Africa, the Philippines and Japan. Following Roy’s retirement the family settled in Pipestone, Minnesota. Roy preceded her in death on January 11, 1990. In 1996, Peggy moved to Georgetown, Texas where she resided at San Gabriel Senior Living. On Saturday, February 18, 2017, Peggy died peacefully surrounded by her family at Brackenridge Hospital in Austin, Texas at the age of 85 years.

Peggy was a member of St. Leo Catholic Church in Pipestone and at St. Helen Catholic Church in Georgetown. In her younger years, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, crafts, cooking and dancing with Roy. During her retirement years, she enjoyed spending time with many friends, eating out, playing bingo, cruising and the occasional casino trip. She also loved New Orleans and Mardi Gras. Peggy will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a great friend to many in Georgetown, and was active in her retirement community.

Peggy is survived by four children, Gwen (Bud) Gregg of Mandeville, Louisiana, Timothy (Julie) Mundahl of Georgetown, Texas, Tony (Nancy) Mundahl of Kirksville, Missouri, Connie (Bill) Hirsch of Pasadena, Texas; six grandchildren, Cory Mundahl, Dondra Tyson, Brianna Mundahl, Michael Mundahl, Danielle Teel and Travis Mundahl; seven great-grandchildren, Brady, Calie, Jordan, Bradan, Elena, Rowan and Charlie; a brother, Norman (Terry) Frosch of Mandeville; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy; son, Terry Mundahl; grandson, Nicholas Hirsch; parents, Joseph and Beatrice Frosch; a sister, Joan and a brother Clyde Frosch.
