Rodney "Rod" Noble

March 5, 1956 — January 9, 2020

Rodney Dale Noble, age 63, went home to his Savior on Thursday, January 9, 2020. Rod was born on March 5, 1956 in Sibley, IA to Lester Noble and L Helen (Buntjer) Noble. He grew up in Ocheyedan, IA and Worthington, MN. Rod graduated from Worthington High School in 1974.

Rod worked for various companies including Kristico Corp. and Consumers Supply. In 1999, he left to start his own company, RE Brokers out of Rushmore, MN, selling Animal Health and Feed ingredients to elevators, feed mills and Colonies.

Rod was devoted to his children. He was also passionate about baseball and coached his boys every summer for many years. He was their biggest fan in whatever they pursued. No one could love his kids and grandkids more than Rod.

In 2010, Rod’s health took a turn. He had a major heart attack and was forced to close his business and retire. But later that year, his heart was made new when he found love with Lisa and her son, Rob. They moved to Pipestone, MN and married in April, 2014.

Rod loved the Lord and was a passionate Republican. He loved visiting his aunts and cousins which he did on a monthly basis. Rod has spent the last few years devoting his time to service in his church, Cornerstone E Free Church, where he helped out wherever he was needed, volunteering at food shelf, etc. He loved to cook and was the first to offer and supply food whenever he could. That was his way of giving. He loved to ride motorcycles too, but sadly gave it up after all the heart problems. He loved to go to the grandkids’ games as often as possible. He was a surrogate dad and grandpa to many of our friends. His other hobbies included working on Dominoes sets which he and Lisa customized to whomever they made them for. His love and sarcastic sense of humor were unmatched. His laughter and smiles and jokes will be missed.

Rod is survived by his wife, Lisa (Whinnery) Noble; children, Ben (Julie) Noble of Hull, IA, Laura (Jeff) Drent of Akron, IA, Joshua (Jessica) Noble of Worthington, MN, Andy (Sarah) Noble of Sartell, MN, Ethan (Kiley) Noble of Sioux Falls, SD and Rob (Jessica) Bonner of Sioux Falls, SD; grandchildren, Zachary, Kody, Avery and Grady Noble, Carter, Sawyer, Dalton and Easton Drent, Isaiah and Mathias Noble, Alexandria, Katelyn and William Noble, Braxten and Kinnick Noble and Ayden Bonner; sister, Sharon Pickering and brother, David Noble, both of Bakersfield, CA and numerous aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Helen Noble; brother-in-law, Gary Pickering; and niece, Lenae Barella; as well as numerous other family members.
