RONALD CHARLES GRIFFIN was born to James Angevene and Ruby Carol (Millis) Griffin on November 10, 1930 at the family home in Moulton Township of Murray County, Minnesota where he was raised and attended school in District 69. He continued his education at Edgerton Public High School in Edgerton, Minnesota. Upon completion of his education, he helped his father farm. On December 7, 1952, he was united in marriage to Charlotte Dirks at the church parsonage in Edgerton. Six weeks later, Ron entered the U.S. Army and served in Battery D of the 56th AAA Gun Brigade during the Korean War. He was stationed in Newport News, Virginia where Charlotte later joined him. Following Ron’s discharge from the service in 1955, they moved to a farm near Edgerton. Ron started out as a dairy farmer. He also raised hogs and chickens. In addition to the livestock, he raised corn, oats, alfalfa, hay, and beans. The couple later moved to Luverne, Minnesota and became residents at the Good Samaritan Society – Mary Jane Brown Home. On Wednesday, October 24, 2018 Ron passed away peacefully at the age of 87 years, 11 months and 14 days.

Ron was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Edgerton where he was baptized and confirmed. He was also a member of the American Legion.
