Sarah Cooper

November 17, 1938 — August 5, 2022

Sarah Ripley Cooper, 83, of Brandon, Minnesota, passed away on August 5th, 2022.

Sarah was born in Pipestone, Minnesota on November 17, 1938 (Sarah Louise Ripley), to Harley and Gladys (Buffington) Ripley.

Sarah grew up on their family farm in Pipestone with her 11 siblings, attended school, married and was a homemaker for most of her early life. Sarah was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in her mid-thirties but she didn’t let it get in the way of living a full and productive life. Sarah was an inspiration to her children and her family. She had a wonderful sense of humor and always had a smile for everyone she met. During her life she lived in Kansas and Arizona before finally returning to Minnesota where she most recently lived at Brandon Assisted Living. Sarah always enjoyed a good game of cards with friends and family or solitaire to pass time. She enjoyed crafts, a puzzle or two, and spending time with family.

Sarah is survived by her 3 children, Marlou, Scott, and Craig; siblings, Lyman, Dolly, Darwin, and Dianne; 3 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Sarah was preceded in death by her parents; and her siblings, Ninabelle, Gerald, Charles, Keith, Vernon, Lyle, and Rob.
