STEPHEN LEE BRIGGS was born on October 1, 1963 to Alfred and Wanda (Bode) Briggs in Luverne, Minnesota. He was raised in town and attended school. During his high school years, he loved playing baseball. At the plate he had a good bat and in the field he played third base. In 1982, Stephen graduated from Luverne High School. He then furthered his education and attended the plumbing and heating program through Jackson Vocational and Technical College in Jackson, Minnesota. Stephen completed the program and went to work for Doug Dammann in Pipestone, Minnesota. A time later, he made the decision to go to work at Swift Company in Worthington, Minnesota. After twelve years, Stephen moved to Owatonna, Minnesota and worked for a company manufacturing glass. In 2011, he returned to Luverne and went to work at Fey Industries in Edgerton, Minnesota. Due to his health, he was forced to retire a few years later. On Wednesday, January 27, 2021, Stephen died peacefully at the Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at the age of 57 years, three months and 26 days.
