ALBERTA MAE KREMIN “Let me tell you a little story…” Alberta Kremin was born on November 3, 1943 to Martin and Elizabeth (Giesen) Kruger in Steen, Minnesota. She was raised in Ash Creek, Minnesota and was baptized into the Christian faith. She attended school in Ash Creek, Adrian, Hills, and Luverne. Following her education, Alberta did a variety of different jobs including caretaking, waitressing and cooking at multiple cafes including her own in Magnolia, Minnesota for a short period of time. She met Darrell Allen Kremin and the couple was married in Hemet, California on December 1, 1965. They made their home in Ash Creek and were blessed with seven children. In addition to being a homemaker and a very good cook, Alberta enjoyed attending rummage sales and hunting for antiques. She also enjoyed mowing her lawn and above all, she enjoyed simply visiting with family and friends while drinking lots and lots of coffee. Her faith and the love for her Savior, Jesus Christ, was her strength that carried her through life. Following the death of her daughter, Kim, on September 22, 2000, Alberta very lovingly took on the responsibility of raising Kim’s four children, Mandi (age 8), Tanner (age 6), Travis (age 6) and Tara (age 2).
Those that will keep “telling her little story” are Alberta’s five children, Kevin Kremin of Kenneth, Minnesota, Lisa Kremin of Marshall, Minnesota, Jason (Tamara) Kremin of Tyler, Minnesota, Brian Kremin of Kansas City, Missouri, and Nicole (Ron) Wilhelmi of Steen; 21 grandchildren, Ashley, Mandi, Alyssa, Tanner, Travis, Paige, Emily, Evan, Jordan, Skyler, Tara, Makayla, Trace, Kaden, Preston, Austin, Connor, Mason, Mekiah, Gracie and Jenna; seven great-grandchildren, Autumn, Kalysa, Kyra, Omarion, Karter, Masai and Jared; a brother, David Kruger of Steen; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Kremin; two children, Jared Kremin and Kim Kremin; Martin and Elizabeth Kruger; a sister, Viola Swenson; and a brother, Melvin Kruger.
