Clinton "Clint" Del Meendering

May 3, 1968 - July 2, 2026

There are some people whose presence makes the world feel a little warmer, whose laughter fills every room, and whose kindness leaves a lasting imprint on everyone fortunate enough to know them. Clint was one of those people.

Clint entered his eternal home with Jesus Christ on July 2, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. While his passing leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who loved him, his family finds great comfort in knowing that Clint's unwavering faith assured him exactly where he was going. He now rests in the presence of his Savior, reunited with loved ones who went before him.

Born on May 3, 1968, in Sioux Center, Clint was raised in Hull. Throughout his life he called Sioux Falls, SD, Inwood, IA, and most recently Edgerton, MN home, leaving behind lasting friendships and countless lives in each of these places, made better simply because he was part of them.

On April 25, 2026, Clint married the love of his life, Kristi Kooiker Eshuis. Although they officially became husband and wife just months before his passing, their love story began four years earlier. Clint often said he wished they had been given more time together, and anyone who saw the two of them knew why. His face would light up whenever Kristi walked into the room. They cherished camping together at Lake Shetek and in the Black Hills, riding their side-by-side, road-tripping throughout the United States, and making multiple unforgettable trips to Belize. They had many more adventures planned, and even though time was shorter than they had hoped, the love they shared was immeasurable.

Together, Clint and Kristi were blessed with 9 children and 12 grandchildren.

Ashley Meendering; Amber (Brett) Dammann; Natasha Meendering and significant other, Chris Van Der Vliet; Morgan (Cooper) Critchfield; and Cole Meendering and his fiancée, Kristina Roush.

Jessica (Cainen)Vander Windt, Sarah Eshuis, Noah Eshuis, and Levi Eshuis

Clint's and Kristi's treasured grandchildren are Chyanne, Bennett, Aubree, Ava, Waylon, Cleo, Elijah, Parker, and Clara Vander Windt.

Family meant everything to Clint. He is also survived by his brother and lifelong best friend, Mike (Cindy) Meendering; his sisters, Monica Meendering (Michelle), Stacy Meendering (Amy), and Nikole (Jeremy) Ackman.

Clint was quickly embraced and deeply loved by Kristi's family and is survived by his parent-in-laws David and Ruth Kooiker, stepsiblings Julie Kooiker, Andy (Melissa) Kooiker, Greg Kooiker, and Jesse (Maddie) Kooiker.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Allan and Corleen Meendering, grandson Bennett Vander Windt, and two beloved granddaughters.

If you knew Clint, you knew there wasn't a harder-working man anywhere. He held several jobs in his younger years before discovering his passion and remarkable talent in construction, eventually building his own successful business. He possessed an extraordinary gift for working with concrete and an unmatched ability to envision how a home could become something even better. Most recently, Clint worked for Journey Construction, where his exceptional craftsmanship, leadership, integrity, and work ethic quickly earned the admiration and respect of everyone around him.

His service extended far beyond his career. Clint proudly served as a volunteer firefighter for the City of Inwood for 19 years, faithfully answering the call whenever his community needed him. His willingness to volunteer in countless ways earned him the affectionate nickname, "Mr. Inwood." It wasn't because he sought recognition-it was simply because helping others was who he was.

Clint never met a stranger. His genuine kindness, generosity, and welcoming spirit allowed him to make friends wherever he went. Whether lending a hand on a project, showing up when someone was hurting, or simply sharing a conversation, Clint consistently put others before himself. He had a way of making everyone feel like they belonged.

Life with Clint was never boring. He loved riding his Harley-Davidson, exploring trails on his side-by-side, relaxing at Lake Shetek, and traveling with Kristi. But perhaps what people will remember most is his incredible sense of humor. Clint had a wonderfully sarcastic, dry wit and a collection of one-liners that could leave an entire room laughing. He was a legendary prankster and a gifted storyteller who often started laughing before reaching the punchline, making the story even funnier than it already was. His laughter was contagious, and bringing joy to others came naturally.

Above all else, Clint loved Jesus Christ. His faith was the foundation of his life and gave him strength throughout every season, including his final days. Having attended the Christian Reformed Church for much of his life, Clint faithfully shared the hope he had found in Christ through ministries including Cursillo and Men at the Cross, encouraging others to begin or deepen their own walk with the Lord.

One of the greatest testimonies to the life Clint lived came during his final weeks. After starting hospice care at home, friends and loved ones streamed through the door almost nonstop. Clint insisted on staying in his beloved man cave in the garage so he could see his cows in the back pasture every morning and could open the garage door wide open to let everyone know visitors were welcome. The garage was so full of visitors that others joked that Kristi should have installed a revolving door. Every visit represented another life Clint had touched through his kindness, generosity, humor, and unwavering friendship. Thursday, July 2, 2026, Clint passed away peacefully at the Pipestone County Hospice House in Pipestone, Minnesota,

Although cancer shortened Clint's earthly journey, it never diminished the remarkable legacy he leaves behind. His faith, his laughter, his servant's heart, his incredible work ethic, and the love he poured into his family, and friends will continue to inspire all who knew him.

A Celebration of Clint's life will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2026. Burial will take place at 1:00 p.m. at Hillside Cemetery in Edgerton, Minnesota, with guests asked to arrive by 12:45 p.m. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Edgerton, MN.
