Donald Francis Roller was born on July 7, 1958 to Charles and Emma (Brown) Roller in Rochester, Minnesota. He was baptized at St. Francis Church in Rochester and he and his family attended Faith Christian Church. He grew up in Rochester with his family and graduated from Mayo High School. He moved to Spring Valley, Minnesota in 1976 and lived there until he moved to Dallas, Texas in the mid-80s. He lived in Dallas for a few years before moving to Sioux City, Iowa. While living in Sioux City he worked for Phillips Kiln Service in South Sioux City, Nebraska for over 10 years. He then began working for CF Industries in Council Bluffs, Iowa and was a welder there. He also worked for Knife River Construction Company and Anton Trucking in South Sioux City. While living in Sioux City he met Beverly Nelsen and the two were united in marriage on August 23, 2009 at the Methodist Church. Don and Bev owned and operated The Cheers Bar in Sergeant Bluffs, Iowa for number of years together. The couple moved to Tyler, Minnesota in 2017 and have resided there since. Don drove for Matt Prosch Trucking out of Lake Benton, Minnesota until the time of his death. Don died on Thursday, December 23, 2021 in Iowa as the result of a semi-truck accident.

Don loved spending time with his wife Bev at their farm, building their long-term dream together. He was a loving and doting husband to Bev, always putting her first. Don also loved spending time with his family when he could. He enjoyed the open road and the many years spent in his semi-truck. Don had a big heart and laugh, he loved to make others laugh as well. He was a great supportive and protective man for his loved siblings, nieces, and nephews. Don was a hard worker, he accepted everyone no matter the circumstances or background. Don referred to his sisters as "Sis", and Trinity was always his "Brat". Don was always willing to give a hand to anyone needed one. Don kept a rattle snake as a pet for many years, Tattle Tail was his name. He loved all animals, especially his dog, Dutchess. Bev will always cherish the memory of Don’s voice as he entered their house chiming, “I’m home, Honey!”

Don is lovingly remembered by his wife, Bev of Tyler; two children, Doug Roller of Minnesota, and Sarah Roller of Florida; his mother, Val Roller of Rochester, Minnesota; four grandchildren, Malachi, Lyric, Alexis, and Emily; siblings, Carman (Bob) Irelan of Iowa, Keith (Jan) Roller of Kentucky, Neva (Jim) Kueffer of Minnesota, Lana (JB) Anthony of Minnesota, and Zelda (Tom) Berg of Minnesota; many nieces and nephews; and one special niece who was like a daughter to Don, Trinity Luther. Don was preceded in death by his father, Charles; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
