Donna Belle Boeder was born to Paul A. and Loretta J. (Bendt) Schuldt on November 24, 1933 near Hardwick, Minnesota. When she was five years old, she moved with her parents to a farm in Pipestone County, Minnesota where she attended country school. After she completed 8th grade, she attended school in Pipestone and graduated from Pipestone High School in 1951. She then became employed as a secretary to the principal at the school in Pipestone. On June 29, 1952, she was united in marriage to Bob Jepsen at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Trosky, Minnesota. Following their marriage, they lived on a farm by Ihlen, Minnesota, and then moved to the Golden Gurnsey Dairy Farm by Jasper, Minnesota. They started farming at Woodstock, Minnesota and then settled on the farm by Ihlen. On April 15, 1972, Bob preceded her in death. After his death, Donna Belle continued to live on the farm. On May 5, 1973, she was united in marriage to Charles Boeder at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Pipestone. Following their marriage, they lived on the farm until June, 1993, when they moved to Flandreau, South Dakota. In 1996, they moved into Pipestone.
Donna Belle was a member of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. She was baptized on December 31, 1933 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Trosky where she was confirmed on March 21, 1948. For many years, she was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Pipestone. She was also a member of the St. Paul Women’s General Assembly and a church circle. She sang in the church choir and taught Vacation Bible School and Release Time Classes. She belonged to a Friendship Breakfast Club and the Neighborhood Club. She enjoyed doing crafts, working on crossword puzzles, traveling, and playing cards with friends, playing the piano, and having coffee with special friends. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Friday, September 26, 2025, at the Pipestone County Hospice House in Pipestone, Minnesota, Donna Belle went to meet her Heavenly Father.
She is lovingly remembered by her four children, Steven (Mary Jo) Jepsen of Madison, South Dakota, Julie (Gayln) Short of Albert Lea, Minnesota, David (Laura) Jepsen of Kennewick, Washington, and Timothy Jepsen of Pipestone, Minnesota; ten grandchildren Jeremy (Theresa) Jepsen, Andrew ( Sarah) Jepsen, Amber Jepsn, Michelle Kimso, Ryan (Cristina) Short, Erica (Keith) Bjella, Emily (Andrew) McNabb, Elise (Andrew) Fleming, Alicia (Justin) Vis and Kayla (Kyle) Heckers; and 19 great-grandchildren, Sean and Grace Jepsen, Dylan, Zoey and Liam Jepsen, Daniel, Lucille and Julianna Short, Grant, Charlotte and Jane Bjella, Noah, Finn and Danielle McNabb, MacAllen and Ford Fleming, Nicolette Pottratz, Amelia Simota, and Silas Jepsen. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Bob Jepsen and Rev. Charles Boeder; her son, Douglas Jepsen; her parents; and one brother, Elroy Schuldt.
