Francisco Perez Bravo

Francisco Perez Bravo, age 79, of Pipestone, Minnesota passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Francisco was born on January 29, 1944 in Ayotlan Jalisco, Mexico to Jose Perez and Josefina Bravo. He was raised by his parents and grew up with his brother, Angel Perez Bravo and attended school in Mexico. In 1969, Francisco Perez and Celia Tafolla Martinez were united in marriage in Ayotlan Jalisco. Together they raised eight beautiful children.

Francisco enjoyed watching soccer; especially his favorite team, America. He loved to spend time with his family. He enjoyed long walks throughout Pipestone with frequent stops at his favorite restaurant Pizza Ranch where he liked eating chicken and ice cream.

Francisco had a unique personality. He was always happy and friendly with anybody he would meet. He was outgoing and loved to tell jokes any chance he got, always with a big smile on his face. A great joy in his life was to sing to his wife, Celia. In his final days to show his gratitude he often said, “Thank you so much, daughters”, or “Muchas gracias, hijas” in Spanish.

Francisco is lovingly survived by his wife, Celia; eight children, Angelica Perez (Ramon Campos) of Pipestone, Francisco Perez (Minerva Lopez) of California, Raul Perez, Ricardo Perez, Juan Perez, Rocio Perez (Jose Medina) of Sioux Falls, Maria G. Perez(Alejandro Ruiz) of Jasper, Minnesota and Adriana Perez. He is also survived by his 25 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Angel Perez Bravo (Margarita) of Ohio; and other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his two daughters, Maria Perez and Adriana Perez; and parents.
