Fred was an enthusiast of all sports. Of course, his favorite teams to watch were his boys'. If he wasn't coaching baseball, Fred was on the sideline of a basketball game, a football game, or a track meet. His passion for sports was matched only by his love of fishing. However, if the walleye weren't biting, Fred “The Fish Whisperer” enjoyed playing cards, teasing others, and sharing tall tales. Above all, family meant the world to Fred. He cherished his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. With fondness and warmth, they will recall his sense of humor, animated personality, and strong convictions.
