Gene Allan Noll was born October 3, 1952 in Luverne, Minnesota to Robert and Edna (Wallenburg) Noll. He was baptized in Luverne, November 9, 1952. Gene grew up in Luverne, Minnesota until graduating from high school in 1970. After high school, he attended Jackson Vocational School in Jackson, Minnesota earning his Architectural Drafting degree in May of 1972.
With his degree in hand, Gene started working for Martin Homes as an Architectural Drafter. On September 7, 1974, Gene married Helen (Crickett) Kracht. He left Martin Homes in 1975 to try his hand at farming and farmed for 3 years before deciding to get back into drafting. He took a job with DGR Engineering and stayed there for 12 years. In 1990, he started working for Veteran Affairs as an Engineer Technician where he worked for 20 years before retiring. In retirement, Gene enjoyed helping drive truck for D&C Trucking.
During his early years, Gene attended church at Palisades Lutheran Church of Garretson, South Dakota. He enjoyed coaching the Beaver Creek Little League Fastpitch Softball Team in his spare time between the years of 1989 to 1994. He was able to take his team to State twice, obtaining the Championship with his 16U team in 1992. Gene also enjoyed playing pool, riding motorcycles, drawing, listening to music and was a true patriot. His greatest joy of all was his love for his grandchildren.
On Friday, November 7, 2025 Gene died at Ava's House in Sioux Falls, South Dakota due to complications of West Nile.
Gene is lovingly remembered by Crickett Noll of Beaver Creek, Minnesota; children, Tory (Jill) Noll of Shakopee, Minnesota, and Renee (Joe) Swiatek of Plainfield, Illinois; four grandchildren, Brooklyn Noll (16), Brycen Noll (12), Jaxson Swiatek (9), and Hailey Swiatek (6); siblings, Linda Wagner of Omaha, Nebraska, and Sharon (Dave) Dierks of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Edna Noll; Brother-in-law, Jim Wagner; and his Mother and Father-in-law, Dick and Alice Kracht.
