Ismael Ezra Flores

Ismael Ezra Flores was born on September 22, 2023 to Osbaldo and Hailley (Ellefsen) Flores in Sioux Falls, SD.  Ismael was premature at 25 weeks and six days.  He was born at 1 pound, 13.3 ounces and 13.19 inches long, along with his twin brother, Rafael Eli.  Ismael passed away while at the NICU at Avera Sioux Falls on October 2, 2023.  He was a brave little soul that brought joy and hope to his family.  Ismael's time here was fleeting but he was truly loved and was the sweetest baby.  He will forever be missed and always remembered.

He is survived by his parents, Hailley (Ellefsen) Flores and Osbaldo Flores of Lake Benton; his sisters, Ashya, Isabel, Natalia, Emilia, and Emma; his twin brother, Rafael Eli; grandparents, Byron and Daphne Ellefsen of Lake Benton, Minnesota, Rafaela Hernandez Ramirez of Veracruz, Mexico, and Oscar Flores Preza of Veracruz, Mexico; great-grandparents, Karen Wigton of Lake Benton, Susan Fox of Lake Benton, and Stanley and Annette Wigton of Stanton, North Dakota, Guadalupe Preza of Veracruz, Mexico, and Juana Hernandez of Veracruz, Mexico; aunts and uncles, Oscar and Nadia Flores of Veracruz, Taylor, Samantha, and Hannah Ellefsen of Lake Benton; cousins, Lluvia, Oscar, Jasper, Elliot, Mateo, Ayva, and Esme; and numerous great aunts, great uncles, and other family members.  He was preceded in death by his great-grandpas, Bob Ellefsen, Juan Flores, and Francisco Ramirez; and second cousin, Jorey Ellefsen.
