Julie Buller

Julie Lynette Buller was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend whose greatest joy in life was spending time with those she loved. She was united in marriage to Kevin Buller August 13, 1977, and together they built a life centered on faith, family, and creating lasting memories. A lifelong woman of faith, Julie was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Lake Benton, Minnesota. She was baptized on August 30, 1959, and confirmed on October 27, 1974.

Julie found happiness in the simple blessings of life. She loved tending to her flower gardens and enjoyed anything involving flowers. She took great pleasure in feeding the birds throughout the changing seasons and spending time outdoors. Fishing, camping, and relaxing around campfires were among her favorite pastimes. One of her most treasured places was northern Minnesota, especially the Park Rapids area, where she always found peace and comfort.

Above all else, Julie cherished her family. Whether attending her grandchildren's concerts and sporting events, making a phone call, or traveling to visit her children and grandchildren, she embraced every opportunity to be with those she loved. Family meant everything to her. Julie also enjoyed crocheting, creating blankets, scarves, and other handmade gifts that will be treasured for years to come.

Thursday, July 16, 2026, Julie passed away at the Essentia Health Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota.

She is lovingly remembered by her loving husband, Kevin Buller of Sisseton, South Dakota; her children, Sharon (Nathaniel) Johnson of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Adam (Hope) Buller of Britton, SD, and Nadine (Kyle) Grace of Hartford, SD; her mother, Shirley Peterson of Lake Benton, MN; her siblings, Cathy (John) Hurkmans of League City, Texas, Brian Peterson of Lake Benton, Minnesota, and Joel (Michele) Peterson of Knoxville, Tennessee; and her beloved grandchildren, Jordana, Paisley, Wessley, Avery, McKenna, Lawson, Emily, and Katelyn.

Julie was preceded in death by her; father, Clifton Peterson; her father-in-law, Hugh Buller; and her mother-in-law, Carol Buller.

Julie will be remembered for her kind heart, her deep love for flowers and nature, her unwavering devotion to her family, and the warmth she shared with everyone who knew her. Her love and gentle spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
