Linda Lee Beyenhof was born on October 26, 1938 to G. John and Harriet (Noteboom) Vander Maten on the family farm in Moulton Township, Murray County, Minnesota. She was baptized in her faith at the Christian Reformed Church. She was raised on the farm and attended Leota Christian Elementary School, then graduated from Southwest Christian School in 1956. She then started teaching at Hills Christian School in Hills, Minnesota. On August 1, 1958, Linda was united in marriage to Clarence (Tubby) Beyenhof in Leota, Minnesota. The couple made their home in Hills and Linda became a homemaker to their young family. In 1976, they built a home in the country. Once their children became older, Linda went to work with the Hills-Beaver Creek schools. Here she held many positions – bus driver, cafeteria worker, custodian and volunteer throughout various classrooms. In 1999, Linda and Tubby moved north to the family cabin in Benedict, Minnesota. Here she worked and volunteered in classrooms in Walker, Minnesota. Clarence preceded Linda in death on July 25, 2013. In 2019, Linda moved back to southwest Minnesota where she found a home in Luverne. She enjoyed volunteering at Generations and within the community. Linda transitioned to Tuff Memorial Home in January of 2024 where she passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at the age of 85 years, 3 months and 27 days.

Linda was a member of the Steen Reformed Church and later Trinity Lutheran Church in Laporte, Minnesota. She was active in church life and especially enjoyed decorating the church and tending the church memory garden. She was a member of the Extension Club, Hills Community Club, and served on the HBC School Board. Linda loved plants and flowers, she especially loved the “natural flowers” that were just misunderstood. She enjoyed decorating her home and making places beautiful. She had the gift of chat and would visit with everyone. She lived her Christian principles and was a wonderful example of a servant heart.

Linda is remembered by her children, Annetta (Robert) Willers of Aitkin, Minnesota, Pam (Spencer) Sells of Beaver Creek, David (Sherri) Beyenhof of Maple Grove, Minnesota and Joel (Marci) Beyenhof of Council Bluffs, Iowa; 12 grandchildren, Richard Willers, Amber Dahlstrom, Bridget Casey, Kristina Hays, Lindsy Holst, Lee Sells, Sarah Kaley, Dustin Beyenhof, Natalie Beyenhof, Nathan Beyenhof, Cade Bergantzel and Lani Bergantzel; 10 great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Lorraine Vander Maten and Marlys Vander Maten. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; parents; and three siblings, Merlin, Stan, John (Ann) Vander Maten.
