Lori A. Lagg

LORI ANN LAGG was born on July 5, 1963 in Parkston, South Dakota to Rudolph and Amanda (Drefs) Lagg. She was baptized on August 18, 1963 and confirmed on April 3, 1976 in Delmont, South Dakota. She attended school in Delmont and graduated in 1981. She went on to further her education at Dakota State College in Madison, South Dakota earning a degree in Elementary Education in 1985. Lori taught at various schools in South Dakota, including a one-room country school for kindergarten through eighth grade. The most recent employment was in both South Dakota and Luverne, Minnesota working as a direct support professional with adults with disabilities. On Tuesday, September 14, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer, Lori died peacefully surrounded by family at the Sanford Luverne Hospital at the age of 58 years, 2 months, and 9 days.

Lori was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Delmont. Lori enjoyed fishing, gardening, and had a passion for organizing family photos into albums. Most of all, she enjoyed being with family. She dedicated her life to her only son Michael Ryan and loved being a me-mam to her grandson Treyton Lagg. Lori was always willing to help with the less fortunate, including family members and friends. She will be missed by many.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Michael Lagg of Luverne; grandson, Treyton Michael Lagg; and siblings, Linda Steege of Delmont, South Dakota, June (David) Lewis of Sheyenne, North Dakota, Steve (Bev) Lagg of Burlingame, Kansas, Mike (Paula) Lagg of Carrizozo, New Mexico, and JoEllen (Bonnie) Lagg of Sonora, California. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rudy and Amanda Lagg; and brothers, Ralph, Brad, and Daniel Lagg.
