She attended both elementary and high school at St. Mary’s Catholic School in Dell Rapids, graduating in 1965. On March 14, 1969 she was united in marriage to Richard Brockberg at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Dell Rapids. After their marriage she joined Dick as a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Pipestone where they have been members ever since. The couple lived on a farm at the edge of Pipestone where Dick farmed. MaryLou was a homemaker through the first years of marriage, taking care of the kids at home.
