ROSEMARIE "ROSE" ELSIE KALLEMEYN was born to Jasper and Edna Roesler on March 26, 1931 in Pipestone, Minnesota where she was raised. After she graduated from Pipestone High School in 1949, she worked at the Pipestone National Bank. June 26, 1950, she was united in marriage to George Kallemeyn at her parent's home. Following their marriage, they lived in and around Pipestone County. In 1960, they moved to the Kallemeyn family farm. While living on the farm, Rose raised their eight children and also helped with the daily chores on the farm. In 1980, following their house fire, they moved to a home one mile north. She continued to reside there for the remainder of her years. Rose passed away Monday April 27, 2020 at the age of 89 years, 1 month, and 1 day.

Rose was a member of the Holland Christian Reformed Church. She was also a member of the Holland Senior Center where she enjoyed playing cards. Rose was an accommodating person and whenever visitors came, she always had a cup of hot cocoa or coffee ready. She was an avid reader, enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, and word finds. Rose was a giving person that had a deep love of God, her family and life. She spent many hours crocheting baby blankets for all of her grandchildren. Her dog “Peanut” was a faithful companion, always by her side.

She is lovingly remembered by her eight children, Bob (Janet) of Pipestone, Don (Debra) of Bigelow, Richard and fiancée Kathy Hansen of Tyler, Ruth (Rick) Sinkgraven of Sioux Falls, SD, Linda Brockberg (friend Brian) of Pipestone, Karen (John) Trimble of Britt, Jim of Lake Benton, Dave (Doreen) of Holland; 34 grandchildren; and even more great-grandchildren; two brothers, Richard (Peg) Roesler of Mora, David Roesler of Burnsville; and a sister-in-law, Carolyn Roesler of Crystal.
