In 1968, the Dueland family moved to Pipestone where they made their home for the next 54 years. Shirley often shared fond memories of her nursing years, camping with family and friends, traveling every summer to the Big Horn Mountains and spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed birds, pressing wildflowers, cross-stitch, creating beautiful handmade cards, reading, baking, and canning.
In retirement Shirley and Cal traveled extensively in their camper, making friends everywhere they went. They spent their winters in Florida and summers in the Big Horn Mountains and the Black Hills of South Dakota until Shirley’s Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma diagnosis.
In remembrance of Shirley, please call an old friend, spend some extra time with your family and friends or just enjoy some time in nature.
