Teresa Anderson

Teresa Marie Anderson was born on August 6, 1962 to Ted and Marlys (Thorson) Anderson in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Teresa attended the Cathedral school until high school where she graduated from O'Gorman High School in Sioux Falls. In her earlier years, Teresa worked at GE Electric in Sioux Falls with her Dad. She also worked at Sioux Valley Hospital as a nurse assistant. Teresa worked at Citibank in Sioux Falls for several years in customer service. Teresa lived in Sioux Falls for most of her life before moving to Canton, South Dakota where she worked as the safety director at Johnson Feed. She then moved to Beresford, South Dakota for a few years before her health declined which caused her to move to Luverne in 2007. On Wednesday, July 30, 2025, Teresa passed away at the Sanford Medical Center at the age of 62 years, 11 months, and 24 days.

Teresa had many hobbies such as playing bingo, gardening and flowers, and crafting of all kinds that included tatting, knitting, and DIY projects. Common phrases she was known to say were "Be safe”, “Be smart”, and “Stick together". Teresa leaves behind her children, grandchildren, and may other loved ones who will carry forward her legacy of warmth, kindness, and unwavering love. Though her hands are now still, the seeds she planted in her garden and in our hearts will continue to grow.

Teresa is survived by her daughters, Chanteal Anderson of Tea, South Dakota, Nicole Dreyer of Luverne, and Angela Dreyer of Luverne; seven grandchildren, Christopher, Jaden, Alexsis, Zackary, Lilly, Kaitlyn, and Gunner; and sister, Maria Anderson of Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her husband, Randy Dreyer; second husband, Jay Schoenberner; father, Ted Anderson; mother, Marlys Haecherl; sister, Amy Anderson; and step-father, Norb Haecherl.
