Anthony Paul DeBono was born on May 10, 1960 to Carl and Barbara (Taylor) DeBono in Santa Monica, CA and was raised in Calabasas, CA where he attended school, graduating in 1978. At the age of 17, he moved to Chino Valley, AZ paving the way for his parents who moved to Arizona six months later. Shortly after moving to Arizona, Tony met and married Jean Shaw. To this union two daughters were born. He attended NAU in Flagstaff, AZ, graduating in 1989. He was employed at Big A Accounting firm in Phoenix, AZ and later transferred to the firm in Los Angeles, CA. In 1992, he also taught Math and Accounting at Yavapai College in Arizona. Tony pursued his dream of owning a business and opened a tax and accounting business in 1994 in Chino Valley. In 2007, Tony met Kimber and they were married in 2009 in Arizona. He continued running the business for the remainder of his career and was making plans for retirement. Kimber and Tony were making plans to stay in Pipestone, MN when he passed away on June 13, 2026 at the age of 66.
He was a member of Cornerstone Church in Pipestone where he was active in the Men's group. On November 22, 2020, he was baptized at Grace Church in Chino Valley. In his younger years, he was involved in many community groups, including Chino Valley Fire Board, school board, and Knights of Columbus. Tony enjoyed watching football, especially when his favorite team the Denver Broncos was playing. He loved cooking, cooking and more cooking. He wasn't afraid to be silly and he loved to tease and expected teasing in return. Tony laughed easily and gave of himself generously. He always put others before himself and was extremely caring and very intelligent.
Tony's faith journey began in 2020 when he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. From that day forward, he dedicated his life to growing in his faith, seeking to follow God with a sincere heart, and sharing the hope he found in Christ with others. He was not ashamed of the Gospel and lived as a reflection of God's love, grace, and truth. His unwavering trust in the Lord and his desire to share that hope with those around him left a lasting impact. His life and testimony continue to inspire all who knew him, leaving behind a beautiful legacy of faith, love and devotion that will be remembered for years to come.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Kimber DeBono of Pipestone, MN; children, Corrin (Craig Gladish) DeBono of Chino Valley, AZ, Desiree (Bryan) DeBono Encerrado of Mesa, AZ, Kory (Adrienne) Stueven of Valley Springs, SD, Kathryn (Kyle) Evans of Pipestone, Kara (Trevor) Little of Colorado Springs, CO and Karissa (Mitch) Pederson of Hendricks, MN; 18 grandchildren, Dante (Alyssa), Teagan, Aspynn, Ivy, Amore, Giada, Caleb, Joshua, William, Brooklyn, Bria, Eli, Carter, Tatum, Ethan, Emma, Grace and Cora; his siblings, Canio (Linda) DeBono of California, Cheryl Vandenberg of Arizona and Robert (Stacy) DeBono of Arizona; father-and mother-in-law, Maurice and Gert Bickford; and many friends in Arizona, Pipestone and California.
