Ubbe Wagenaar

UBBE WAGENAAR was born on March 31, 1934 to Hummo and Tena (Jurrens) Wagenaar on the family farm west of Adrian, Minnesota. He was raised on the farm and spent his entire life there farming the land and caring for the animals. He attended school through the ninth grad and honorably served his country in the United States Army from 1954 to 1956. On January 29, 1965, Ubbe was united in marriage to Erma Klaassen at the Salem Reformed Church in Little Rock, Iowa. The couple made their home in Ubbe’s farm and raised their three children in addition to farming.

On Thursday, November 24, 2022, Ubbe died peacefully at his home at the age of 88 years, seven months and 23 days.

Ubbe is lovingly survived by his three children, Byron Wagenaar of rural Adrian, Paul Wagenaar of rural Adrian, and Janene Wagenaar of Aurora, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and 12 siblings.

Per Ubbe's request, a private family service was held.
