Obituary for Constance K. Price
CONSTANCE KATHLEEN PRICE was born on June 1, 1945, to John and Georgianna (Nece) Engbarth in Pipestone, Minnesota. She was raised on a farm near Holland, Minnesota. Connie was baptized and confirmed at St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Woodstock, Minnesota. During her childhood, she was active on the farm helping with chores but enjoyed spending her free time riding horses and competing in shows. Connie graduated from Ruthton High School in 1964, and soon after was united in marriage to Ole Nelson. Their marriage was blessed with two sons, Paul and Chad. They settled in Jackson, Minnesota where they raised their family. Connie worked outside the home at Sperry Univac and Bloom’s in Jackson. In 1984, they moved to Texas where she worked in the roofing industry with her brother, Alfred. Connie met Larry Price at the Woodlands Golf Course in Texas. The two fell in love and were married in Texas in 2005, after many years of companionship. Larry preceded Connie in death in 2010. She returned to Minnesota in March of 2017 and lived with her sister, Sharon, for several months before becoming a resident of Lindenwood Assisted Living in Slayton, Minnesota. In 2019, Connie moved to Goldfinch Estates in Fairmont, Minnesota, near her niece Darla Philipp. She passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021, at the age of 76 years, five months, and 25 days.
Connie enjoyed traveling. Some of her favorite times were spent boating and fishing with Larry, but she truly appreciated any time spent with family and friends. Connie loved to come together at family gatherings and was always up for participating in any activities, especially card games. She was a very social person and her love of people was often reciprocated by those surrounding her. Connie was a kind person with a good sense of humor. Her beloved smile and laugh will live on in the memories of everyone that knew her.
Connie is survived by her son, Paul (Susan) Nelson of Nacogdoches, Texas; and granddaughter, Sydney (Corey) Tully of Chireno, Texas. Connie will be lovingly remembered by her siblings, Sharon (John “Arden”) Nelson of Balaton, Minnesota, John “Jack” (Faye) Engbarth of Lincolnton, North Carolina, William “Bill” (Carolyn) Engbarth of Riverside, California, Pat (Cindy) Engbarth of Ruthton, Minnesota, Mark Engbarth of Lake Wilson, Minnesota, Mary DeKam of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Alfred “Butch” (Karen) Engbarth of Magnolia, Texas; many special nieces and nephews; step-children, Jeff (Sandra) Price, Celina (Jerry) Boucher, Felita (Clyde) Dickey, Bridget (David) Paul, and Kimberly (Wayne) Poque. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry; parents; son, Chad; sister, Marlis (Vernon) Tiedeman; nephews, William “Billy” Engbarth, John “Johnny” Engbarth, and Jason Tiedeman; and sisters-in-law, Lynette Engbarth and Vicki Engbarth.
May perpetual light shine upon her.
